Westchester County’s Dept. of Senior Programs and Services offers free virtual health workshops available for older adult residents and their caregivers. These workshops are offered at no cost and are designed for older adults and their caregivers in Westchester County to better self-manage health conditions.

· Materials, including a reference book (Living a Healthy Life with Chronic Conditions) are mailed out to participants in advance of the workshop
· Those who complete the workshop are able to keep the book and as well as exercise and relaxation CDs
· Workshop meets once a week for 6 weeks for two hours via Zoom
· There are 10 to 12 participants in each workshop and two trained facilitators
· The workshop is interactive and offers homebound participants a chance to share and socialize with others.

Bookshare is an ebook library that makes reading easier. People with reading barriers like dyslexia, blindness, and physical disabilities can read in ways that work for them with a huge collection of titles in audio, audio + highlighted text, braille, and other formats. Bookshare is FREE for all qualified U.S. students and schools, and less than $1 per week for all other members.
