The San Gabriel Valley Council of Governments (SGVCOG) – in partnership with Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (LA Metro), has completed a multi-year transit feasibility study that shaped a new plan to improve mobility in the San Gabriel Valley. The current phase, known as SGV Forward, will focus on delivering improvements along key corridors through new bus lanes, improved traffic signals, and upgraded bus stops.
These changes are designed to make transit more reliable and easier to use for everyone, especially those who depend on transit for daily travel such as households without access to a car, low income, senior, and youth populations.
Improved public transit is essential for access to jobs, schools, healthcare, and daily life.
SGV Forward is the first step toward a stronger, more connected transit network across the San Gabriel Valley.
