If you are requesting adminship or bureaucratship, and your wiki has a local bureaucrat, submit your request to that user or to the relevant local request page (

).
For urgent requests, such as to combat large-scale vandalism on a small wiki, contact a steward in the
#wikimedia-stewards
connect
IRC
channel. In emergencies, type
!steward
in the channel to get the attention of stewards. Otherwise, you can type
@steward
for non-urgent help.
All processed requests are automatically archived after 24 hours of no activity. Use {{
PinSRP
}} on a request section to prevent it from being archived, or {{
ArchiveNowSRP
}} to archive a request section as soon as possible.
Other than requests to remove your own access or emergencies, please only make requests here
after
gaining the on-wiki approval of your local community.

It's hard to put a firm number, but usually between 10 and 15 votes are needed in favour, from people active on the project. As I am in process of setting up the newly granted portal of Marathi wiki source . For setup and maintenance I request you to please grant me the temporary sysop flag which is needed to setup the portal. I am already admin on mr.wikipedia . Need the access for 6 months, so that by that time the portal and community will also develop and we can select regular admin.

Understood. However, in order for a temporary admin bit to be given, there must be a discussion on the local project with enough time (usually a week) for supports, oppositions, and discussions to be had. Please create such a discussion, link to it here, and if after a week or so there is no opposition, the temporary bit can be given. --

To be precise, I am working with Rahul Deshmukh on this. He has received the access yesterday. Pls. check above listing. We would be following the above procesure once the Marathi Wikisource is estanlished a bit. At that time, I will ask for the permanant access. That is why I need temp. sysop access...
