Description
As an engineer I want to enable Lift Wing usage by wikis that use the Ores extension,
so that we lower traffic volume out of ORES and ease its deprecation.
To deploy the changes for a wiki (e.g,
arwiki
) one would have to do the following:
Open the file
wmf-config/ext-ORES.php
in
mediawiki-config repository
and add an entry for it changing this:

At this point Lift Wing usage has been enabled in all of the above wikis except enwiki and wikidata, which will follow in a separate deployment.

ORES is now using a new backend service, Lift Wing, on all wikis except English Wikipedia, Finnish Wikipedia, and Wikidata. Users may see weird results in Recent Changes filters (all the ones related to ORES, for example, "User intent predictions" and "Contribution quality prediction").

I.e. I imagine editors will want to know
what kind
of weird results to look out for, and what they should do (if anything) if they notice them.

Hi! As reported in the email the only issue that it was reported is
T343308
, so the RC Filters mistagging revisions as "very likely bad" when they were not (in the fiwiki case, all revisions were tagged as very bad). We are not aware of anything else, and we hope that fiwiki will be the only corner case registered, but any suspicious behavior of the RC filters (namely, results that are not useful or following the truth) should be reported. I hope it clarifies!
