The ITSS TechCenter in Kirby Plaza 165 combines our services for technical support (phone or in person), computer repair (check-in), and equipment checkout services in one area. The TechCenter is open during University business hours.

The TechCenter Help Desk staff are ready to take your calls! Call to report any type of technology problem - if they can't fix it while you're on the phone, they'll ticket it and an ITSS staff person will get back to you. Call-in service is available 24x7, but may be limited in scope when the TechCenter is closed during evenings, weekends and holidays.

Computer repair check in service: KPLz 165
Fee-based computer repair service for more advanced problems that require more than 15 minutes to resolve and/or require special diagnostic tools or hardware repairs. Available for all University-owned devices and personal computers of current students, faculty and staff.

all warranty repair work (Apple, HP and CPS)
data backup and restore
secure data deletion & recycle (required before disposing of University-owned computers)

Check out equipment for your classroom presentations and meetings at no cost. Use your UCard to r
eserve online
and pick up at the TechCenter. Checkout equipment is provided for:
Current student, faculty, and staff members only
University-related purposes only (classroom presentations, meetings, coursework)
AV Equipment
Projectors (portable and on carts) and miscellaneous AV equipment (speakers, cabling, extension cord reels, etc.) are available.
Chromebooks
Chromebooks may be checked out for general use for 24 hours. If you have a computer in for repair with ITSS, you may check out a Chromebook for the duration of your repair.
Chromebook cart (a rolling cart with 30 managed Chromebooks)
Chromebook carts are available for campus groups such as orientation, training, or classwork. You may bring the Chromebook Cart to your own space on campus but it may not be taken off campus. If reserved overnight, the Chromebook Cart must be stored in a secure location.

Video Capture Cart
Faculty and staff can reserve
reserve a mobile video lecture capture cart
to use. The mobile cart can be reserved in advance and checked out for a 24 hour period. It is equipped with:
Pan Tilt Zoom (PTZ) Camera with a hand-held remote
Boundary Microphone which can capture audio 25 feet away
The camera and microphone are connected to a laptop via USB cables. Some users may need to use a USB-C Hub, not included.
