Really great to represent the
The Blueprint Coalition
and
Climate Emergency UK CIC
and speak at the Climate Action Cobenefits webinar hosted by
Edinburgh Climate Change Institute
and
Ashden
It is so important to tie climate action in, and speak to the priorities that people understand.
For some councillors the cobenefits they want to see may be tackling poverty, improving health and housing. For others it will be what money can be saved, or what returns can be sought from a project.
But we must also remember that climate action, in and of itself, is popular.
Let's speak in the language that resonates with people today. Let's also keep driving home that climate action is important because we need leave our world in a better state for future generations.

Making the case for local climate action is more important than ever.
The Blueprint Coalition is delighted to support this webinar from
Ashden
and the
Edinburgh Climate Change Institute
3rd July 2-4pm on Zoom.
Improved health and wellbeing, jobs and economic opportunity, increased equity and social cohesion, and improved resilience to the changing climate. We've known about these co-benefits for years - the first edition of Ashden's Climate Action Co-benefits Toolkit was published in 2019 - but they've often proved hard to quantify.
Now, thanks to a new tool from the Edinburgh Climate Change Institute, co-benefits data and analysis is available for every local authority in the UK, via the UK Co-benefits Atlas.
At this joint Ashden/Edinburgh Climate Change Institute online workshop, you'll hear some of the latest information on climate action co-benefits, and learn about the new Co-benefits Atlas. There will also be an opportunity to join smaller breakout groups to discuss how the Atlas can be best used to support policy making; to share your own stories of co-benefits, and discuss how we can connect climate action to other challenges we face.
Join us on Thursday 3rd July, 2-4pm, online via Zoom.
