It’s already the last weekend in April – time flies when you’re having fun! Join us around the state to enjoy springtime programming.
This weekend marks the City Nature Challenge (CNC), a free 4 day worldwide event where the public helps conservation science, by taking photos of wild organisms in their community and uploading them to iNaturalist – a website dedicated to identifying wildlife, for everyone! Join us at the following programs to take part:

This weekend, we also welcome folks to head to
Leatherbee Woods in West Roxbury
to join an exploration of this urban wild.
The
Explore! North Shore hiking series
has an offering at Old Town Hill in Newbury, where visitors will be be guided through the woodland trails and spot birds & other wildlife, while learning about the rich Indigenous history of this area, land-use through time, and The Trustees current salt marsh restoration efforts in The Great Marsh.
Fruitlands Museum in Harvard has a few unique offerings this weekend, including
Tea and Talk: Exhibit Previews with Curator Tess Lukey
, and
Stargazing with Aldrich Astronomical Society.
It’s flower season! Head to the
Daffodil & Tulip Festival
at Naumkeag in Stockbridge. 8 acres of gardens burst with colorful spring bulbs, vibrant container displays, and seasonal decorations, all set against the breathtaking backdrop of Monument Mountain and the Berkshire Hills.
