Submitting Transcripts to SCC
Transcripts should be sent directly to the Admissions office from your high school and/or previously attended colleges and universities.
Faxed or hand-carried transcripts will not be accepted.

Shawnee cannot forward an original or copy of any document received by Shawnee from another institution or agency. Transcripts, test scores and other documents must be requested by the student from the originating institution or agency.
Procedures For Requesting Access to Student Records
According to the Family Educational Rights to Privacy Act (1974), students have the right to inspect and/or request copies of their student records. This includes, but is not limited to the student academic transcript.
In order to do so, the student must follow specific procedures so that the college can reasonably maintain the privacy of the student. All requests must be made in writing and include:
Student name and all former names
Current phone number
Student’s SCC ID number
Birthdate
Dates of Attendance
Physical signature of the student
When requesting the records be sent to a third party, the student must indicate the name of the party making the request, and any additional party to whom it may be disclosed and the legitimate interest the party had in requesting or obtaining the information.
The college retains the right to request picture identification to verify prior to any transfer of student record to an individual. Each transcript copy is $5. If a student requests the entire student record, the college retains the right to charge $.10 per page if the file is extensive (more than 15 pages). (Policy 9155)
