Transition Students
Transfer Requirements
Have a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of at least 2.5 for all college-level coursework attempted at previously attended regionally accredited institutions. (Excludes developmental and remedial classes.) You must also have a transferable equivalent to ENGL 1101 with a grade of “C” or higher and an equivalent
Core IMPACTS
Mathematics course with grade of “D” or higher.
Have completed 30 semester credit hours or 45 quarter credit hours of college-level coursework. If you haven’t completed the credit hours requirement, you must meet all first-year requirements
AND
submit one of the following
Official high school transcript showing a 3.4 or higher core GPA
OR
Test scores sent electronically for the SAT or ACT (or both, if you so choose)

Be eligible to reenroll at the last institution you attended.
Have completed all Required High School Curriculum units and Learning Support coursework required by any previously attended University System of Georgia school.
Note:
Admission to Georgia State is a selective process. Meeting the minimum admission requirements does not guarantee acceptance or acceptance in to specific programs. Please refer to the

for specific program application or admission process that are separate from the GSU admissions application.
How to Apply
Complete the Georgia State Application for Admission, accompanied by a $60 non-refundable fee.
You can use a credit card or authorize a draft from a checking account.
After you pay this fee, your application will be valid for the fall, spring and summer semesters for one full academic year.
If you submit your application but need to change your entry term to another semester within the same academic year, you can complete a
Reactivation Application
If you submit your application but need to change your entry term to a semester in another academic year, you must submit a new Undergraduate Application and application fee.

Deadlines are subject to change.
It’s Apply to College Month, which means
Georgia resident high school seniors can apply to Georgia State University for free throughout the month of April.

Tips
If you’re still enrolled in classes when you submit your application, you will also need to send us your final transcripts upon completion of your coursework.
We do not accept student copies of transcripts, official transcripts that have already been opened or scanned, faxed or emailed copies of transcripts.

SAT/ACT test scores are only required for transfer students who have earned fewer than 30 hours of transfer credit and cannot show a 3.4 or higher core GPA on their high school transcript. Note: Some merit scholarships may still require test scores.
