The sand is as fine as powder, and the sea is a clear, deep blue, providing an excellent venue for swimming, diving, and various water sports. The Yalong Bay Tropical Paradise Forest Park is situated behind the bay and served as a filming location for the movie If You Are the One 2. Wuzhizhou Island

Dubbed "China's Maldives," Wuzhizhou Island is located within Haitang Bay, approximately 30 kilometers from downtown Sanya. The island's waters are crystal clear, with well-preserved coral reefs, hosting Sanya's richest marine ecosystem. It is a paradise for diving enthusiasts, offering activities like snorkeling, scuba diving, jet skiing, and banana boating. Tianya Haijiao (The Ends of the Earth)

The Tianya Haijiao Scenic Area is located about 23 kilometers southwest of downtown Sanya and is a National 5A-level Tourist Attraction. The area features rugged giant rocks, with granite boulders inscribed with the characters "Tianya" (Heaven's Edge) and "Haijiao" (Sea's Corner) standing on the beach. Symbolizing the ends of the earth, it has long been synonymous with romance and poetry. Opening hours are from 8:00 to 18:00 daily, with tickets costing approximately 65 to 89 CNY.

Nanshan Cultural Tourism Zone

The Nanshan Cultural Tourism Zone is famous for the 108-meter-tall statue of Guanyin (Goddess of Mercy) of the South Sea, the world's largest white-robed Guanyin statue. The zone also includes Buddhist architectural complexes such as Nanshan Temple and the Thirty-Three Guanyin Hall, along with a tropical botanical garden and vegetarian restaurants. It is a place to experience the perfect fusion of Buddhist culture and tropical natural scenery. Tickets cost approximately 122 CNY.

Haitang Bay & Atlantis Sanya

Haitang Bay is Sanya's newest developed high-end resort area, featuring numerous internationally renowned luxury resort hotels. The most prominent among them is Atlantis Sanya. This mega-resort complex integrates a water park, aquarium (The Lost Chambers), hotels, and dining, and has become a new landmark of Sanya. Li brocade and embroidery are listed as National Intangible Cultural Heritage, and the traditional Li textile techniques of spinning, dyeing, weaving, and embroidery are recognized by UNESCO as an Intangible Cultural Heritage in Need of Urgent Safeguarding. The traditional Li and Miao festival "Sanyuesan" (Third Day of the Third Lunar Month) is the best time to experience minority culture, featuring traditional activities like antiphonal singing, bamboo pole dancing, and crossbow shooting.
