Accomplishments
Provided 6,278 services, a 23% increase from FY24, impacting a record number of 3,696 unique clients. Our Veterans Services Officers (VSOs) have become seasoned with enhanced training, collaborative initiatives, and creative workflows that have contributed to a 28% average increase in daily services.
The VSO Team are currently working to bring all claims up to date to meet the 90-day time standard. With just over 3 months of data and many more claims to update, the Division currently has produced an economic impact of $2,022,404.66 (The vast majority of these awards will continue with the Veteran for the rest of their lives), with a 75% success rate, and an average process time of 85 days, surpassing the VA National average of 141 days.
Processed over 4,000 calls, and on average a Veteran getting a return call back with 1.4 hours from the assignment to a VSO.
Participated in 48 Community Outreach events providing presentations, educating the community about veteran related benefits, and managing resource tables at community events.
In March 2025 the Division launched a Combat and over 65 property tax exemption audits. Of the 1,422 individual exemptions reviewed, the Division had access to 44% of those records of which 11.9% had increased ratings and in turn it increased the Veteran’s current tax exemption. In many cases, the updates went back 3 years.
