, onde nun taba con esa etiqueta/plantía. Lóxicamente, si pa un artículu que ye más vieyu nun se dudó de la so calidá enciclopédica y nun foi marcáu d'esta forma, pamidea l'artículu más nuevu tampoco, qu'amás ye copiáu del avandichu, y decidí quita-y esa plantía, alvirtiéndolo nel resume d'edición. Lo gracioso, si ye que pue ser gracioso, ye que l'avandichu alministrador restauró la etiqueta/plantía pal artículu de la bandera de Ribedeva y agora tamién poniéndola nel del la de La Ribera... Entós, pola mesma regla de tres, los artículos de les banderes de

pa poder calificar un artículu de que nun tien calidá enciclopédica enforma. Nun ye por nada, pero'l fechu de tener puesta esa etiqueta/plantía nun artículu, pero non pa otru que yera (ye) exautamente igual, amuesa cómo d'arbitrario y ensin fundamentu pue calificase un artículu de poco enciclopédicu.
Desaniciar dafechu esa etiqueta/plantía
(y polo tanto dexar pa prau'l puntu anterior), porque tranquilamente podíemos usala nuna montonera d'artículos, como los dedicaos a munchos llugarinos de la xeografía asturiana, como son estos del conceyu d'A Veiga, por poner dellos exemplos:

Esta ye una Wikipedia pequeña, que va tener artículos pequeños, porque tamién ye pequeñu'l númberu de collaboradores. Bono, ta claro qu'esa etiqueta/plantía nun val pa nada. Y lo de marcar artículos como "entamu"... tamos nes mesmes ¿cuála ye la llende pa determinar qué ye un entamu o non? Por exemplu, pal casu de los artículos sobre banderes, más allá de dicir que tala bandera ye de tal conceyu y tien talos colores, poco más podrá dicise, y nun sería un entamu; de fechu, en wikipedies como la d'español
dexaron cuantayá d'usar
esi tipu de marques por innecesaria (vese al entrar nel artículu si ye un entamu o non). Pero volviendo al alderique inicial, queda claro que l'usu d'esa etiqueta/plantía de "non relevancia" enciclopédica ye bastante arbitrariu y suxetivu.

The format will be a 1-hour video call, where you would share your screen.

You can help Wikipedia's coverage of folklore from your area by writing or improving articles about things like folk festivals, folk dances, folk music, women and queer folklore figures, folk game athletes, women in mythology, women warriors in folklore, witches and witch hunting, fairy tales, and more. Users can help create new articles, expand or translate from a generated list of suggested articles.
Organisers are requested to work on the following action items to sign up their communities for the project:
Create a page for the contest on the local wiki.
Set up a campaign on
CampWiz
tool.
Create the local list and mention the timeline and local and international prizes.
Request local admins for site notice.
Link the local page and the CampWiz link on the

This year, the Wiki Loves Folklore Tech Team has introduced two new tools to enhance support for the campaign. These tools include the
Article List Generator by Topic
and
CampWiz
. The Article List Generator by Topic enables users to identify articles on the English Wikipedia that are not present in their native language Wikipedia. Users can customize their selection criteria, and the tool will present a table showcasing the missing articles along with suggested titles. Additionally, users have the option to download the list in both CSV and wikitable formats. Notably, the CampWiz tool will be employed for the project for the first time, empowering users to effectively host the project with a jury. Both tools are now available for use in the campaign.

Invitation to participate in the #WPWPCampaign 2024
Dear community members,
We are inviting you to participate in the Wikipedia Pages Wanting Photos 2024 campaign, a global contest scheduled to run from July through August 2024:
Participants will choose among Wikipedia pages without photo images, then add a suitable file from among the many thousands of photos in the Wikimedia Commons, especially those uploaded from thematic contests (Wiki Loves Africa, Wiki Loves Earth, Wiki Loves Folklore, etc.) over the years.
In its first year (2020), 36 Wikimedia communities in 27 countries joined the campaign. Events relating to the campaign included training organized by at least 18 Wikimedia communities in 14 countries.
The campaign resulted in the addition of media files (photos, audios and videos) to more than 90,000 Wikipedia articles in 272 languages.
Wikipedia Pages Wanting Photos (WPWP) offers an ideal task for recruiting and guiding new editors through the steps of adding content to existing pages. Besides individual participation, the WPWP campaign can be used by user groups and chapters to organize editing workshops and edit-a-thons.

About the feature
The MinT for Wiki Readers is a feature that will allow readers of Asturian Wikipedia to expand their reading options and knowledge beyond the language they are familiar with in Wikipedia. For instance, if someone is interested in a topic or content that only exists in the Japanese language and the person is not familiar with the language. While using the mobile web version of Wikipedia, the reader can access the machine translation version of that content in the Asturian language from the language selector or the article's footer (as shown in the media files below).
These machine-generated translations of content are clearly identified as such, and the human-created content is surfaced and recommended if available.
This feature is in its initial development. It is an early and functional version, and many aspects will be improved based on your community member's feedback on what works and what can be improved to better support your needs as readers.

Before we enable this feature in your Wikipedia by the 5th July 2024, we invite members of your community to try MinT for Wiki Readers in your Wikipedia at

Proposal to enable the "Contribute" entry point in Asturian Wikipedia

The
WMF Language and Product Localization
team proposes enabling an entry point called "Contribute" to your Wikipedia.
The
Contribute
entry point is based on collaborative work with other product teams in the Wikimedia Foundation on
Edit discovery
, which validated the entry point as a persistent and constant path that contributors took to discover ways to contribute content in Wikipedia.
Therefore, enabling this entry point in your Wikipedia will help contributors quickly discover available tools and immediately click to start using them. This entry point is designed to be a central point for discovering contribution tools in Asturian Wikipedia.
Who can access it
Once it is enabled in your Wikipedia, newcomers can access the entry point automatically by just logging into their account, click on the User drop-down menu and choose the "Contribute" icon, which takes you to another menu where you will find a self-guided description of what you can do to contribute content, as shown in the image below. An option to "view contributions" is also available to access the list of your contributions.
For experienced contributors, the Contribute icon is not automatically shown in their User drop-down menu. They will still see the "Contributions" option unless they change it to the "Contribute" manually.
This feature is available in four Wikipedia (Albanian, Malayalam, Mongolian, and Tagalog). We have gotten valuable feedback that helped us improve its discoverability. Now, it is ready to be enabled in other Wikis. One major improvement was to
make the entry point optional for experienced contributors
who still want to have the "Contributions" entry point as default.
We plan to enable it
on mobile
for Wikis, where the Section translation tool is enabled. In this way, we will provide a main entry point to the mobile translation dashboard, and the exposure can still be limited by targeting only the mobile platform for now. If there are no objections to having the entry point for mobile users from your community, we will enable it by 10th December 2024.
We welcome your feedback and questions in this thread on our proposal to enable it here. Suppose there are no objections, we will deploy the "Contribute" entry point in your Wikipedia.
