What is Wikisource 2008 and how should it be used?
Answer:
Wikisource 2008 is a news and announcements page for Wikisource in all languages. Please add updates to this page on the
Wikisource
in your language! Include special projects, special milestones, and even funny happenings. Updates can be in the language of your wiki or in any other language. Remember to sign each entry with your name and date by using ~~~~ (four times) so that this page can chart dated events and progress on your wiki over the course of the entire year!

How can I publicize Wikisource 2008 so that people on my Wikisource will add updates?

2008 seens to be a sad year for pt.wikisource:
~ 1,200 text-units + dozens of templates and categories going to be deleted due to copyrights misinformations on a Bible translation (see
s:pt:Discussão:Ferreira de Almeida Atualizada
for a discussion started on 2006). Possible date to deletion: still this week.
~ 600 text-units + some categories and templates due to
m:American non-acceptance of the rule of the shorter term
(see
s:pt:Wikisource:Esplanada/Problemas de domínio público, o retorno
for details). Possible date to deletion: unknown but still this semester.
