Plot
The film tells the story of Pan Sheng (played by Zhang Yixing), a frustrated programmer, and Anna (played by Jin Chen), a model eager to make her mark. Dissatisfied with their respective life situations, they are lured by overseas high-salary recruitment advertisements and unexpectedly fall into a trap set by a fraudulent factory located abroad. In order to escape the hellhole and expose the truth, Pan Sheng and Anna have to tread carefully under the surveillance of the fraud syndicate leader Lu Bingkun (played by Wang Chuanjun). Meanwhile, domestic police have also noticed this vast criminal network. Anti-fraud police officer Zhao Dongran (played by Yong Mei) leads a special task force to conduct a cross-border investigation and rescue operation. The film intertwines three narrative threads—the victims, the perpetrators, and the law enforcers—progressing layer by layer, ultimately depicting a thrilling cross-border pursuit and life-or-death rescue.
